Cambridge has a depth of sport clubs and athletes that rivals any university in the world.
Currently there are over 70 sports clubs at Cambridge and all levels of performers are welcomed from recreational games players to international athletes. Amongst our alumni we have World Champions and Olympic athletes from a range of sports. Recent Olympic medallists include Imogen Grant, Amy Hunt, Anna Kiesenhofer and Ollie Wynne-Griffth & Tom George.
The Sports Service maintains an array of world-class facilities across the city offering everyone the chance to enjoy sport during their time in Cambridge. Within the University Sports Centre there is an impressive strength and conditioning room (which includes 19 lifting platforms/racks), a Team Training Room which has a custom designed training rig, a competition sized boxing ring, a turf area for speed and prowler work, plus a full array of free weights.
