Newcastle University is committed to providing support for their High Performance Student Athletes (HPSA) to assist in their overall development in both their academic endeavours and in their respective sport. It is a priority for Newcastle University to fulfil the educational and sporting potential of their student athletes and to enhance their overall student experience. Newcastle University have been supporting and prioritising the development of the educational and sporting potential of all HPSA. However, this official TASS Dual Career Accreditation scheme will pull together existing University policies within Guidance on Student Attendance, Attendance Monitoring and Absence from Study and give the University a recognised environment to support high achievement in both academia and sport. It will enhance Newcastle University’s sporting reputation and bring added benefit to the support services already on offer.
