Brockenhurst College and The Sports Academy are all about talent development which is designed to develop and support students’ academic and sporting demands. Being a TASS Dual Career Accredited centre supports the ethos of the college in its ability to support and commit to each and every ‘student athlete’. Within our Sports Academy we are nationally recognised across a number of sports, these include: football, men’s rugby, netball, basketball, golf and volleyball.

There is also a full range of competitive opportunities for individual students to gain county, regional and national representation within their sport. This includes British Colleges Sport and National Governing Bodies talent identification systems. The TASS Dual Career Programme is open to ANY talented athlete in ANY sport. At present, we also support athletes who compete at a national and international level across sports such as: cycling, fencing and golf, just to name a few.

As a TASS Dual Career student athlete you will have access to a number of support systems, which will support your learning, training and competition commitments. The support systems include:

• Weekly group tutorial sessions
• One to One tutorial sessions
• Pastoral Support
• ASPIRE Programme and Workshops
• Nutritional Education
• Psychological Support
• Sport Therapy
• Free College Gym Membership
