TASS develop the whole Athlete
World-class support for athletes at the top of the Talent Pathway.
We believe in you
Congratulations on becoming part of TASS!
You’re in good company! We’ve been supporting talented athletes since 2004 and TASS alumni include many who’ve reached the pinnacle of their sport. It’s a long list and includes athletes such as Helen Glover, Tom Daley, Ellie Simmonds, Lucy Bronze and Greg Rutherford.
TASS have built a network of sites and practitioners who will help you achieve your goals, and a reputation for providing support that develops the whole athlete.
Hearing the athlete voice
Our group of Athlete Reps ensure that TASS athletes are considered as part of every decision we make at TASS.
The team of five TASS athletes (four current and one alumni) act as a voice for all athletes’ experiences, feedback, and ideas, making sure they are heard by the TASS HQ team.
They’re fellow athletes who understand the demands that TASS athletes are balancing, and are there to be friendly faces who athletes can reach out to whenever they need. The aim is to help shape and improve the TASS experience by bringing athlete perspectives into key conversations. The goal is to make sure the athlete’s journey through the programme is as supportive, inclusive and athlete-focused as possible. If an athlete has feedback to share, suggestions for improvement, or questions about anything related to TASS, we’re here to listen.
Getting in Touch
The athlete reps have an Instagram page @tassathletereps, which is the best way to get in contact. This page is also a platform for success stories, both in and out of training. If you fancy tagging us in a story/post, the TASS reps would love to reshare it!
Your Athlete Reps (l-r) are: James (Boccia), Jenny (Rowing), Luke (Kayak), Megan Brierley (VI Football) and Kirsty (Gymnastics).

Why have I been selected for TASS support
TASS supports athletes who are at the top of the Talent Pathway in their sport. If you’re selected for TASS support, it’s because your National Governing Body (NGB) has decided that you’ve reached that point in your sporting career.
How will I access the support?
TASS operates a network of 42 TASS Delivery Sites (TDSs) across the UK. You will be assigned to the one that’s closest/most relevant to you.
How will I fit this in with my education/job/life?
The TDS Lead at your site and TASS practitioners are used to creating schedules for busy athletes and will make this work for you.
What happens if I move house during the year and need to switch my TASS Delivery Site?
This can be arranged. Please either inform your TDS Lead that a change is needed, and they can contact TASS HQ, or contact us at athlete@tass.gov.uk
Is there a screening process before I can access the services?
Yes, this helps us to ensure that support is tailored to your needs. When you attend the in-person induction at your delivery site, you will be told how to book in for a screening.
If I am a scholar at university and a TASS athlete, should I attend both or select one to receive my support from?
This is a conversation for you to have with your TASS Delivery Site Lead. They will help you to work out what’s best for you.
What if I need to cancel a session or cannot access support due to injury?
Contact your practitioner as soon as possible to let them know you cannot make it. They may be able to help you reschedule or alter your programme.
How long will I receive support from TASS?
If you engage with the services, you can stay on TASS for as long as your NGB considers it appropriate.
What happens if my NGB decides that my TASS support will come to an end?
We have a duty of care to our athletes and aim to continue your TASS support for a further 3 months.
