5th February 2026
Ten athletes supported by TASS have been selected to compete at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
The XXV Olympic Winter Games, taking place from 6–22 February, will see TASS-supported athletes competing across figure skating, speed skating, alpine skiing and bobsleigh.
Legend of the Slopes
Firstly, alpine skier Dave Ryding (pictured), the most successful British skier of all time. Dave was supported by TASS from 2004–2008 and again during the 2010–11 season. This will be Dave’s fifth Olympic appearance and reportedly his last.
Figure skating representation
Figure skating features prominently, with four athletes who have received TASS support earning Olympic selection. Phebe Bekker, James Hernandez and Kristen Spours are all current TASS athletes and Ed Appleby received TASS support between 2023–2025.
All four have balanced the demands of elite sporting competition within the rest of their lives, supported by TASS services.
Speed skating success
Also selected is speed skater Niall Treacey, a current TASS athlete, whose selection reflects sustained progress on the international circuit and TASS’s ability to support athletes across a wide range of winter disciplines.
Bobsleigh contingent
TASS support is also well-represented in bobsleigh, with four athletes selected for Milano Cortina: Brad Hall, Alex Cartagena, Ashleigh Nelson and Leon Greenwood.
A strong Winter Olympic legacy
TASS has a proud history at the Winter Olympic Games. The first Olympic medal won by a TASS-supported athlete came at the Turin 2006 Winter Olympics, when skeleton bobsleigh athlete Shelley Rudman claimed silver for Team GB.
That moment marked the beginning of a legacy that continues in Milano Cortina, with TASS athletes once again preparing to compete on the world’s biggest winter sporting stage.
As competition gets underway in Italy, TASS will be following the performances of all ten athletes and celebrating their achievements on the world’s biggest winter sporting stage.
TASS is part of the SportsAid family.
